About Fairy Hair

Sparkly strands are tied to individual strands of your own hair, and will remain for as long as the hair they are tied to stays attached to your head. Hair sheds naturally, so sometimes fairy hair may escape within a few days, or may last for month – it’s up to the fairies!

My strands are made from Thai silk – a plant-based garment silk. From my personal experience, I can guarantee they are safe to wash, dry, straighten, curl, brush, dye, swim with, style, or get an MRI with. Anything that is safe to do with your natural hair is safe with fairy hair!

FAQs

Pricing
Fairy hair is $3 per strand, with bulk discounts:
10 strands for $25
16 strands for $35
22 strands for $45
30 strands for $60
For more than 30 strands, it is a flat $2 per strand

Wavy, curly, and textured hair:
While the sparkle strands don’t curl, over time, they will settle into the texture of your hair. They may look a bit out of place when first tied in, but once you wash your hair, they will find where to rest.

In braids, twists, and locks:
I can put fairy hair in any hair! For braids, twists, and locks, the strands are wrapped and woven around. These sparkles will stay until you intentionally take them out!
These are $5 per strand.

About me

My human name is Kelly, and I have been tying fairy hair for probably more than 10 years now, and braiding at renaissance festivals since 2019. I love bringing sparkles and joy into the world (and playing with hair).
My homebases are Maryland Renaissance Festival, MerMagic Con, New York Faerie Festival, and several others.
I am located in Parkville, Maryland and travel around Central Maryland and surrounding areas. I have regular days available at Bella of Canton, and I happily open my home for sparkle appointments, so long as you don’t mind some chaos.
I am a full-time hair fairy, and look forward to finding new ways to be involved with the amazing communities I’m fortunate enough to be a part of.

As a fairy, I am a shapeshifter – I take many forms. My name is Cassandra Mellifera Amarylis Ophidia Winnet Kess Stinkerbelle Ivy “Commitment to the Bit” Belladonna, at least for now. As a shapeshifter, I’m always finding new forms and new sides of myself. I like sharing sparkles and chaos!
